MARCH 24TH

A date for the books. Not only is it Jim's Birthday - Happy Birthday Big Bro!!!
but Emily finally got another tooth. That brings the grand total too.....(drum roll please) 3! That's right 15 months old and 3 teeth. I'm so excited. I was beginning to think she would just be teething for the rest of her life - but now I have hope that one day she will have a mouth full of teeth.

Crappy Daycare

I'm so frustrated. The first day of bootcamp was this morning. I got there 20 min early to drop off Emily and be where I was supposed to be. I walk in and they send me to the nursery, the nursery sends me back to the front which then sends me back to the nursery where I finally drop off Emily and fill out MORE forms. I tell them she has milk, water, and a snack in her bag along with diapers. They respond Great, make sure her name is on them. (making you think they would offer these to the kiddo) Off to boot camp I run, cause now I'm almost late. AAHHH!!! Drill instructors don't like tardiness by the way. When its almost over my cell phone rings - Emily has been crying off and on for an hour. WHAT???? Some of you don't see Emily often, but she doesn't cry because mommy isn't in the room. Most of the time she could care less. So as soon as we are released I run to get her. They tell me she was a handful and very upset from time to time. WHAT??? They tell me they had alot of kids, maybe that bothered her. Maybe I could try dropping her off for little bits of time. Sounds nice but I'm not a member of this place and probably never will be. Any she's crying and they are standing between us - cause they also want to double the childcare for this program. Anyway...........finally pick her up --- very wet diaper. Finally get to her bag - and its all still in there. Now really -- upset kid, and the mother made a point to tell you there was stuff in the bag...........Wouldn't you try some milk or water???????
Anyway I think Aaron may just work from home and watch her. He will be out of town for a couple of the times - but I really don't want to take her back there. I understand they were busy - but don't complain to me when you didn't even through a sippy cup of milk at her!!

But the camp was GREAT!!! A couple of the moms even threw up.....great uh? I knew it would be hard core and I'm excited!! He is very strict about diet - which I suck at. We have to write everything down -- damn accountability. I did have turkey sandwich for lunch - which he'll probably complain about the bread, but hey it was better than left over pizza!

Thanks for letting me vent! I know my kid's not perfect, but I also know she's not a terror to keep.
Enjoy the rest of your day :)

Time flies when you're not blogging!
Not a whole lot of excitement around here. Mom and Dad should be moved by the end of the month. They sold their house and found a new one - all in the same week. I'm looking forward to seeing their new house - sounds really nice. It is out by the lake - not lake front like at PK lake but close enough. Now if I can just convince Dad he NEEDS a boat!! :)
Angie told me they will be RV owners soon. I'm can't wait to meet them camping. The kids will have so much fun. Plus its always more fun to camp with friends.
A friend of mine just got diagnosed with MS. I'm shocked! I can't believe we are getting to that age where our close friends will be getting diagnosed with all the stuff we've just heard about up to now. I hope that research has come far enough that she feels no pain and it doesn't disrupt her life. I love her and her family. I wish I was closer to help. It just sucks......and what do you say??
On a happier note -- Emily slept through the night last night. Every night is different and you just don't know. Sometimes she sleeps, sometimes she wakes up hungry, sometimes she wakes up cause her teeth or tummy are hurting. You just never know. We are not on a strict schedule around here but she does eat and go to bed at the same time. Who knows!!!
I went through her closet today. Aaron's aunt just mailed a huge box of clothes. Emily likes to help - she takes everything and puts it in a pile and them tries to wrap it all around her. She's funny. I'm glad she has a sense of humor :)
Aaron took the little greenhouse / shed thing on the side of our yard down. It looks so much better. He planted 12 tom. plants - that will be so much better to look at out the kitchen windows. However 12 tom. plants means ALOT of tom. and honestly I don't really like tom. But as I said it will be much nicer to look at.
Hopefully by next weekend I can plant the daisies.
I wish everyone a great week. I start fitness boot camp on Monday. Its MWF for 1 hour for 4 weeks. I'm excited - but know I will be in pain --- no pain no gain. Hopefully I will have some great numbers to report in the next few weeks.
Enjoy the day :)

Still here

After hearing everyone complain about NEW blogger, I kept putting it off - but today I had no choice. Honestly right now I see no change but I'm sure I will --- or maybe they've worked out all the kinks. Anyway - sorry to be so long in blogging. Its good to read your blog Jim :)
Our trip to Austin was great!! Nothing overly exciting to report - but that's what made it great. We ate soooo much food including bbq at 2 of our favorite places!!! One night we ate dinner at a place on the top floor of the hotel - wonderful view! The other night we had dinner and hung out with an old friend - It was great to see you Alex and even better to see you so happy!! Hope your mom is doing well.
Anyway.....Emily was cranky, snotty, and teething the whole time we were gone. I'm not sure if Roger and Shirley will want to babysit again - I know they were exhausted!
Emily did sleep last night - so maybe that tooth will popped through soon. I think the wind storms brought in alot of new funk because everyone is snotty - I hope hers clears up soon. So sad having a snotty little one.
Not a whole lot going on - having company in a couple of weeks for their spring break -- looking forward to going to Galveston with them. :)
My dad started his new job - they are looking at houses now. They thought they had sold theirs - but the couple changed their mind - Jesus told them it wasn't the right house! Whatever...
Anyway......Hope everyone has a great day!
