Stupid people bother me

OK so in the last post I told you about the birthday party and the lady who didn't mind her son kicking Emily because she wasn't crying yet..............so this morning I get this email:

I am sorry if I was rude to you at Donna's. I did not recognize

you with your short hair and highlights. I didn't realize until
later, and then I was embarrassed. So I hope there are no hard
feelings.

Heather

WOW - and I had her pegged for totally clueless. How wrong I was!! She picked right up on my, well let's just say unhappiness with her. Smart one I tell ya. Of course she missed the whole entire reason WHY! Honestly does she think I care whether or not she of all people recognizes me? NO -- You let your 3 yr old son kicked my 16 month old daughter in the head!!!! ..........and now you may understand why I've never liked this lady.

The weekend

We were invited to our first birthday party this weekend. When this is the result ....you know it was good! All went well - except for the one kid that kept kicking Emily while they were in the bouncer.......and his mother didn't see a problem since Emily wasn't crying. Aaron ALMOST took her (the mother) out and I was right behind him. I didn't like the mother before and really don't now. But really it was a great time. I love children's parties that include adult beverages!!!

The people across the street from us had a garage sale on Sat. They have a little boy about 4 or 5 and while he and mom went on a trip the dad cleaned house! I didn't know he was having a sale until I opened the blinds and saw two guys loading up wagons. I woke up Aaron and we headed over. The guy said we could just take whatever. I felt bad after cleaning him out of all the good toys that I gave him $20. We got a tub of legos - the ones for babies - Mr. Pot. Head and Elmo pot. head - some cars - a kiddie lawn mower - books - weebles - little people----All in great shape with all the pieces!!! So then we were in the mood for garage sales. A neighborhood was having one and we found a little grocery buggy thing for Emily. There was also outdoor play stuff but we haven't really decided if we have room for that stuff. Anyway...........great finds!

Can't wait to hear how Angie's camping trip went! :)

You've probably heard it.....but it's funny

SIPPING VODKA

A new priest at his first mass was so nervous he could hardly speak. After mass he asked the monsignor how he had done.

The monsignor replied, " When I am worried about getting nervous on the pulpit, I put a glass of vodka next to the water glass. If I start to get nervous, I take a sip."

So next Sunday he took the monsignor's advice. At the beginning of the sermon, he got nervous and took a drink.

He proceeded to talk up a storm.

Upon his return to his office after the mass, he found the following note on the door:

1. Sip the vodka, don't gulp.

2. There are 10 commandments, not 12.

3. There are 12 disciples, not 10.

4. Jesus was consecrated, not constipated.

5. Jacob wagered his donkey, he did not bet his ass.

6. We do not refer to Jesus Christ as the late J.C.

7. The Father, Son, and Holy Ghost are not referred to as Daddy, Junior and the spook.

8. David slew Goliath , he did not kick the sh*t out of him.

9. When David was hit by a rock and was knocked off his donkey, don't say he was stoned off his ass.

10.
We do not refer to the cross as the "Big T."

11. When Jesus broke the bread at the last supper he said, "take this and eat it for it is my body". He did not say " Eat me".

12. The Virgin Mary is not called "Mary with the Cherry".

13. The recommended grace before a meal is not: Rub-A-Dub-Dub thanks for the grub, Yeah God.

14. Next Sunday there will be a taffy pulling contest at ST. Peter 's not a peter pulling contest at St. Taffy's.

I've come to accept that I suck at blogging -- love to read everyone else's just don't want to spend the time on mine. Anyway.....We spent the weekend with my parents. It was good but crazy. They are trying to get so much done in such a short time. Mom thinks everything has to be unpacked, painted, planted, etc etc yesterday.....which just makes for a stressful situation. We were able to help with a few things. Aaron and I went out one night....got stuck next to a 3-4 yr old having a fit for 30 min. Not judging the parents or the kid, just wishing for some peace and quiet. But it was a good dinner. My parents have one of those garden carts -- Emily loved being pulled around in it, so we got one to use as her wagon. I hope to take her and Honza (her little friend) around the neighborhood tomorrow.
Other good news.....Emily now has 5 teeth!!!
I lost 10.5 inches during boot camp. I loved it - recommend it to anyone. I hope to do another one in the fall - just to stay on track with working out.
Now that my parents live at the lake I'm hoping for a boat. Before I was worried about logistics - lake close by? how do you get the camper and boat there when we only have one vehicle to tow? but now we've got a free place to stay, babysitter, and storage nearby!!! I just have to convince everyone that a boat is a necessity!
And now thanks to Angie, I want to add to my tattoo!

Thank you for all the birthday wishes!
Last week was crazy. Aaron had gone to Las Vegas, got in Sat, Emily puked the whole way home from the airport. Then I got it Monday and Aaron had it Thurs night / Friday morning.....Happy Birthday to me. We canceled all the birthday plans, but he started feeling a little better so Tom and Kristi brought dinner out and we still had ice cream cake from Baskin Robbins -- YUMMY!! So I guess the day turned out pretty good.
I missed two days of Boot Camp last week. Today wasn't too bad though. This is the last week. I kinda want to do it again - but I think I will take a break so I can have some freedom to visit my parents during the week. I haven't lost any weight but I did lose inches --- which is the important thing! Let's just hope the trainer sees it that way.
I got a new computer last week!! I'm so excited!! I was using my parents old old old one -- cause Aaron had stolen mine to use as an arcade (but I'm going to let that go now that I have a new one :)
Not much else going on. Planning a couple of camping trips. The first is to Arkansas to dig for diamonds with Aaron's Aunt and Uncle. Woo Hoo!! Trying to decide what we want to do for vacation this year - just Aaron and I. A few years ago we took a week and took the camper to Mt. Rushmore -- great trip!! I think we could do something like that again as long as Emily was with my parents. Tom and Kristi want us to go to Alaska with them. I kinda want to go to Maine and see the whales and stuff. Aaron wants to stay home and spend no money. But this mama needs out of the house!!! I can finally describe what I'm feeling. BORED!!!
Anyway.....Hope everyone had a Hoppy Easter! Emily found eggs, but then got over whelmed I guess or maybe we just hid too many. I posted some pictures on her site.
Hope everyone has a great week!! :)
